Planning a new website? Tell me your budget. I'll tell you exactly what to do with it.

Answer six questions. Within three working days you'll get a 15-minute video from me: what to build, what to spend, what to skip, and how to brief whoever builds it. Take it to any designer you like.

I record five a week. Requesting one takes about three minutes.

Most businesses start their website in the wrong place

I record five a week. Requesting one takes about three minutes.

You've had three quotes. They range from £4k to £40k and nobody's explained why.

Your last site looked great at launch. Nobody's enquired through it since.

You know it needs doing. You just don't know what "it" is yet.

None of that is a design problem. It's a planning problem. That's the bit I'll do for you, free.

What's in your blueprint

Where your money should go

At your budget, not an imaginary one. What's worth paying for, and what usually gets wasted.

The order to do things in

So you don't pay for a new site, then pay again to fix the messaging underneath it.

A brief you can hand over

The three things to tell any designer so you end up with a site you're proud of, not a nicer-looking version of the old one.

An honest steer

If you don't need a new site yet, I'll tell you. It happens more than you'd think.

Whatever you've got to spend, there's a right way to spend it

Roughly what each budget buys when it's spent well. Your blueprint goes into detail for yours.

Under £2k

Find and fix the one thing that's costing you enquiries.

£2k–£15k

A focused rebuild around the work you want more of.

£15k–£35k

Strategy, messaging and a site built to turn visitors into conversations.

£35k+

Brand, website, and the system that keeps it working after launch.

How it works

01

Answer six questions

Budget, timeline, and what's bugging you about your current site. About three minutes.

02

I record your blueprint

Within three working days. Your site's open on my screen and I talk you through it the way I would with a client.

03

You decide what's next

Hand it to your designer, do it in-house, or book 15 minutes with me to talk it through. All three are fine by me.

This is for you if

  • You run or market a professional services firm.
  • You're planning a new site or rebrand in the next twelve months.
  • You'd like someone to be straight with you about budget.

It's probably not for you if

  • You want the cheapest quote you can find.
  • You need a template live by Friday.
  • You'd rather not hear that your current site might be fine.

Hi, I'm Tom Declat

I've spent fifteen years building websites, first agency-side and now at VisionaryGrid, where we work with consultants, law firms and investment managers.

Most of what I know about what works, I learned from watching what didn't. The blueprint is that, boiled down to fifteen minutes and pointed at your business.

I record five a week. Requesting one takes about three minutes.

Fair questions

Is it actually free?

Yes. No card, no catch. Some people book a call afterwards. Most take the blueprint and get on with it, which is completely fine.

Are you going to try and sell me something?

At the end of the video I'll tell you how to book a call if you want one. After that you'll get a handful of short emails. Unsubscribe from any of them whenever you like.

Why only five a week?

Because each one is recorded for you, with your site open in front of me. I can't do that properly for fifty people.

What if my budget's under £1,000?

Request one anyway. Sometimes the most useful advice at that budget is what not to spend it on.

Can I share it with my partners or my designer?

Please do. That's the whole point.

Get a plan before you get quotes.

I record five blueprints a week. If this week's have gone, yours goes into next week's batch.
